๐งจ Ep. 238: The Big Beef's New Intro & DC's Man of Tomorrow!
TL;DR
This week, The Big Beef debuted a wild new intro for his News & Rumors segment! We got huge DCU news, including the official title for the Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow, and the first look at the new Clayface. Plus, the chaos of the show's new corporate ownership continued, and Joe was spotted in yet another... interesting... costume.
A Message to the Community
The show opened on a serious note, with the crew sending their thoughts and support to community member Brandon, aka M.O.N.S. Comics, whose family recently experienced a house fire. We are so glad to hear that his family and pets are all safe. Our hearts go out to Brandon and his family during this difficult time. Please donate if you can at the link HERE.

Featured Episode Issue: Amazing Spider-Man #238
Though it was almost forgotten amidst the chaos, this week's issue was a certified grail: the first appearance of the Hobgoblin! This classic 1983 issue from Roger Stern and John Romita Jr. introduced one of Spider-Man's most menacing and mysterious villains, sparking a multi-year "whodunit" that kept fans guessing. It's an iconic book with one of the most memorable covers of the Bronze Age.
The Big Beef Report: News & Rumors
Josh debuted a brand new, beefy, and wonderfully bizarre intro for his segment and delivered some huge news.
DC's Man of Tomorrow: The sequel to Superman has officially been announced as Superman: Man of Tomorrow, set to release on July 9th, 2027. The film will reportedly be a Lex Luthor-focused story, with rumors pointing to a team-up between Lex and Superman to face Brainiac.
The First Look at Clayface: We got our first set photos from the DCU Clayface film, showing actor Matt Hagen in character before his tragic transformation.
Marvel Zombies Are Coming: The trailer for Marvel Zombies has officially been released! The animated series will stream on Disney+ starting September 24th and looks to be a fun, Elseworlds-style adventure.
A Stacked 2027: The year 2027 is shaping up to be one of the biggest ever for comic book movies. The current schedule includes: Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse (June 25), Superman: Man of Tomorrow (July 9), The Batman Part II (October 1), and Avengers: Secret Wars (December 17).
DID YOU KNOW?
It's true! In the 1990s, the two comic book giants co-created and still co-own a character named Access. Debuting in DC vs. Marvel #1, his power is to travel between the two universes, and his sole mission is to keep them separate to prevent reality from collapsing. He is one of the only characters in history to be legally owned by both companies simultaneously.

ASK JOE & THE CANNON CREW
Cannon Questions: The CGC Debate & Favorite Horror Eras
Judge Dan kicked off a major debate about the state of CGC, discussing the ongoing quality control issues like "Banana Gate" and the new problem of entire cases swelling. The crew agreed that while CGC's customer service is good at fixing problems, the sheer volume of mistakes is concerning for the hobby, with social media now playing a huge role in holding companies accountable. The crew also dove into their favorite horror comics, with Joe naming the Bronze Age as his top pick after Pre-Code, thanks to the loosening of the Comics Code and classic titles like Swamp Thing and Tomb of Dracula.
RULING FROM THE BENCH
Judge Dan's Ruling: Fantastic Four #319
Judge Dan dropped another deep-cut spec pick this week, highlighting Fantastic Four #319. This issue features a complex cosmic showdown between Doctor Doom and the Beyonder. With both characters set to play a huge role in the MCU's future, Dan ruled this reasonably priced book is a great one to get your hands on sooner rather than later.
