The Furry-Con Debacle: An Investigation

We have to address the fox in the room. What started as a joke last week escalated into a full-blown scandal. Even with his denial, we received shocking "leaked footage" of Joe attending Furry-Con.

If that wasn't enough, we then received a video from Golden Age Guru, who claimed that Joe sold him a "furry collection" of several thousand books, some of which were described as "sticky". Joe has pleaded the fifth and offered "no comment", but the evidence is compelling. We will continue to investigate.

This week we highlighted an absolute cornerstone of the Bronze Age: the first appearance of the Demon's Head himself, Ra's al Ghul! Created by the legendary duo of Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams, this 1971 issue introduced one of Batman's most formidable and philosophical foes, kicking off a storyline that would eventually lead to the League of Assassins and the birth of Damian Wayne. The Big Beef was busy this week, dropping some heavy news.

• Spider-Verse Delayed... Again: In heartbreaking news for fans, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has been pushed back once more, now scheduled for June 25th, 2027. The crew expressed their frustration with the ever-growing wait between films.

• Judge Dredd Gets a New Director: A new Judge Dredd movie is in the works, with Taika Waititi attached to direct. The crew was deeply divided on whether his comedic style is the right fit for the grim and gritty character.

• DCU Updates: James Gunn confirmed that The Flash and Aquaman are not expected to be reintroduced for at least the next two years, giving the characters a much-needed break. He also confirmed that Dr. Fate is officially part of the DCU.

This issue features Dr. Doom kidnapping Franklin Richards in an attempt to trade his soul to Mephisto for his mother's. Did You Know? Herby the Robot Was a Licensing Workaround

The final piece of our Fantastic Four series revealed a surprising fact: Herby the Robot was only created because the rights to the Human Torch were tied up for a solo movie that never got made! Needing a fourth member for the 1978 cartoon, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created Herby as a replacement. The robot who was never supposed to exist went on to become a cult favorite and is now set for his big-screen debut.
